You know when you hear about Modern Art in one The Shining examples that they show you is a white background with some black lines and some squares of yellow blue and red? That guy is Dutch and he’s big here and his name is Piet Mondrian.
From my point of view he seems like a pretty crafty guy. He has this white background and makes grid lines out of black then he puts in some colour blocks. Then he moves them around and calls that an all new painting. And then he sells it for undobtedly some good cash.
He did create some nice pieces that seem like less of a rip-off, mostly of traditional Dutch things like windmills, landscapes with windmills, or lighthouses with windmills in the background.
