On Saturday we went to the Belgian royal family’s palace and attach glasshouses. For only 3 weeks a year the public can visit the royal estate and I was excited that we would get to see the greenhouse collections.

It was a deal to boot, only 2.50 euros. The walk up to the greenhouses was just as beautiful as the botanical collections. The Belgian place gardens had several small lakes, a Japanese pagoda and mock Chinese palace.

It was a fun day with a delicious apple cake at the end in the atrium.
